The origins
Trade shows, field tests and the first developments to bring signal where it didn't reach.
More than fifteen years developing our own Mesh technology for essential services.
This is the story we tell everyone who joins the team: how we started, what we learned and why we keep betting on building our own products.
This is how we sum up our journey when we tell it internally.
Trade shows, field tests and the first developments to bring signal where it didn't reach.
Our first office, our first networks on the city's rooftops and an intense learning curve.
Our own radio technology, stronger processes and an increasingly professional team.
First exports and manufacturing at scale to compete in the region.
Investment, a team in Argentina and Brazil, two product lines and artificial intelligence.
Deitres was founded by a group of students from Mar del Plata, from different branches of engineering, who wanted to build their own technology products. With no outside capital, working out of a garage and our families' homes, we toured trade shows with hand-built booths and ran field tests with an obsession that still defines us: an installed device must never be left without communication.
We launched CityMesh, the first wireless communicator for alarm panels on the market built with Mesh technology. From the start, we committed to selling our own product. This innovation made us a benchmark in the Argentine electronic security market and was a springboard onto the international stage.

Our first office, our first hires and our first networks deployed on the city's rooftops followed. A technical failure in a communication module put us to the test. To overcome it, we rebuilt our development processes and tools, which led to far more robust products and a lesson we still hold on to: we take our work seriously and the customer is always at the center.
By 2014 we had the wireless Mesh networks with the largest number of installed devices in Latin America. That scale opened the door to a joint development with Microchip, one of the world's leading microcontroller manufacturers, and with support from Argentina's Ministry of Science and Technology we began creating our own communication module: the D-Transceiver.

We completed development of the module and stopped importing communication modules. Since then, all our products have used our own radio technology, and we organized production at scale to start competing globally.

We brought the same technology to a second essential service: electricity. We launched our smart Mesh meter, designed especially for emerging countries, and presented it at the Quinta de Olivos. The first meters were installed in neighborhoods of the City of Buenos Aires, with remote disconnection and reconnection.

With our first export, we discovered that the connectivity problems we were solving in Argentina were repeated across the region. We started with Mexico and Colombia and continued with Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Brazil. An experience in Shenzhen convinced us that, to compete seriously, we needed a stronger foundation.
We closed our first investment round with the circle of trust that had formed during our years of working without outside capital. We organized as a group: a holding company in the United States, technology and operations in Argentina, manufacturing in China and, shortly after, a development team in Florianópolis, Brazil.
AMIAR was the first meter certified under the distributed generation regulations: a key step that lets utilities bring on board users who generate their own energy.

As members of ATICMA, the Mar del Plata Information and Communication Technologies Association, we took part in promoting the city's Technology District and were visited by Argentina's Minister of Productive Development.

We took CityMesh to Latin America's leading security trade shows: Seguritec in Peru, Expo Seguridad México at Centro Citibanamex, Exposec in São Paulo, ESS+ in Bogotá and the shows in Mendoza, Córdoba, Tucumán and Santa Fe. Since 2024 we have also had a direct commercial presence in Brazil.

We brought together the whole team from Mar del Plata and Florianópolis for a week of work, learning and planning.

We added artificial intelligence to CityMesh with Kairon, a virtual operator for monitoring centers, and Maia, an assistant for users. In October we commercially launched AMIAR for utilities and electric cooperatives.

We launched CityMesh MAX, which expands installation options and the range of devices, surpassed 100,000 installed CityMesh devices, and AMIAR is gaining ground with utilities and cooperatives across the region. We are an interdisciplinary team spanning Argentina and Brazil, with customers in ten Latin American countries.

We seek to transcend by making a positive impact on those around us.Bernardo Martínez Sáenz · CEO and co-founder
In Spanish, the name Deitres sums up what we have done since day one: Desarrollo, Investigación, Innovación and Ingeniería (Development, Research, Innovation and Engineering). One D and three I's. Our logo mark is that D, made of three stripes.
We want CityMesh to take alarm monitoring into ever smarter homes and AMIAR to become a benchmark for the energy transition in Latin America. And we want to keep building our own products on top of our technology.
Every CityMesh alarm as the gateway to a connected, safer home.
AMIAR helping utilities integrate distributed generation and use energy more efficiently.
Bringing our Mesh technology and platform to new essential services.
